‘Tis the season to spoil your palate with the best wines that North Texas has to offer! This month, as ever, we scoured the emails and socials for tempting wine events to make your days and nights jolly.
The unifying theme of this December 2025 edition is bubbles. South African bubbly, Italian bubbly, good Champagne, and even (le gasp) sabrage? It’s a fun, fizzy, month–and we can’t wait to raise a glass with you around town. 🥂

Caymus Vineyards Wine Dinner at Carrabba’s (Dallas)
Tuesday, December 2 at 6:30 PM or Wednesday, December 10 at 6:30 PM
A bold and indulgent five-course fixed menu with Wagner family wine pairings for just $80 (plus tax and gratuity).

Start off with a huge Marsala meatball and a glass of Walking Fool by Caymus. Move on to salad, short rib risotto, and a main course of filet mignon and shrimp. Save room for a hazelnut-ganache torte paired with the rich Conundrum Red Blend.
Depending on your party size, you may be seated with other diners. You can call the restaurant to make a reservation or RSVP online.

Christmas Wine Flights and Grand Cru Champagne at Blind Bishop (Dallas)
Saturday, December 13 at 5 PM – 9 PM
Blind Bishop‘s wine bar will be open Saturday evening starting at 5 PM. Order from their extensive wine list, or opt for a special holiday flight selected by Master of Wine Dilek Caner.

Have you ever wanted to dispatch a Champagne bottle with a suave flick of a saber? Now is your chance! Learn this showy bottle-opening technique and look like a boss on New Year’s Eve.

True Crime & Wine: A Cup of Murder (Grapevine)
Wednesday, December 19 at 6:30 PM – 8 PM
An evening of chilling true crime tales from John Matthews, hosted by Red Dirt Cellars in Downtown Grapevine. Matthews, owner and winemaker at Cassaro Winery, is also a law enforcement veteran and the award-winning author of multiple non-fiction books including The Eyeball Killer. “A Cup of Murder” is the grisly story of a serial killer who turned her victims into soap after murdering them with poisoned wine.
