Liven up your Texas wine trip with this fun, free scavenger-hunt game! Up to six people or teams can play Texas Winery Bingo.

Each card lists objects and words you’re likely to find while doing tastings at Texas wineries. To play, each player or team marks off the squares as you find them. (Complete rules are below.)
Below the rules section, you’ll find high-res images of the bingo cards. You can save them to your phone and play with a note-taking or doodling app. Prefer a hard copy? The bingo cards are formatted for 8.5 x 11 inch paper and can be printed in color or grayscale. All six cards and the rule sheet are also available as a downloadable, printable PDF file.
The Texas Winery Bingo game is free for personal use. Individuals, tour guides, and wineries are welcome to use it. (Please don’t put it behind a paywall or sell it.)
Whether you’re traveling to wineries in Fredericksburg, Grapevine, or another one of Texas’s up-and-coming wine regions, I hope you have fun playing Texas Winery Bingo!
How to Play
You will need pens/pencils or bingo markers (if playing with paper cards).
Every person or team selects a bingo card. There are 6 different randomized cards. If more than 6 people are playing, form teams.
Appoint a referee. This person will be responsible for determining what counts as a point and if a bingo is valid. This should (probably) be the soberest or most ethical person in your group. The referee may also play the game, as long as you trust them not to cheat.
Go to a Texas winery (or three). Drink some wine and look for the items on your bingo card. Mark them off when you find them.
Objects mentioned in the game can be physical or images/pictures. For example, if your card says “Horse,” either an actual horse in a pasture or a painting of a horse is valid to score the point. (Pics on your phone do not count.) Any disputes are settled by the referee.
Anything in quotes must be overheard or read in the winery. For example, if the menu calls a wine “jammy,” or the bartender describes it as “jammy,” either scenario would score a point. Simply drinking a jammy wine does not count. Again, the referee has the final say.
A player or team scores a “Bingo” and wins the round when they complete a diagonal, vertical, or horizontal line. (The center square is free.) While it’s possible to play a “Blackout” game of Texas Winery Bingo, if you get a blackout then maybe you’ve been at the winery too long. Have fun, drink responsibly, and enjoy Texas wines!
